Today, learning to paint at home is becoming pretty popular. It seems that with the new overflow of technology that most people are becoming very comfortable with the idea of learning from home, rather than taking a class. I should also make a note of this here that the most famous artists were self-taught. But the biggest leg up that you have on them is now you have DVD lessons!

Let’s face it, time constraints can make attending classes very difficult. There is also the other problems with courses like different learning levels. More advanced painters are going to feel frustrated with beginners because they will feel like they are waiting all the time for the class to continue.

After I had a few learn to paint courses, I felt that they didn’t offer anything other than annoyance. I work weird schedules at my work, so even finding time to go to classes was a pain. And after I re-managed my whole schedule to adjust for classes, I was just left annoyed and frustrated? I felt like giving up.

I wanted to learn and master painting, but I wasn’t getting anywhere with the classes so I ended up trying to learn how to paint from DVD lessons.I had tried many times to learn from books, but I got my greatest response from visual learning. The lessons that I decided to get was Learn and Master Painting by Gayle Levee.

I found the high quality of the videos and the material provided to be very good. Gayle really helps connect with you, as much as you can through a DVD lesson, so I was left feeling entertained and learning the lessons very well. Also, I can watch the videos over and over again, which helps me out a lot.

It’s true that you don’t get any interaction with other students when you learn to paint at home, but its actually turned out a lot better for me this way anyways. I don’t know about all of you guys, when I pay for something with my hard earned cash, I want my money’s worth. A number of people use art classes as an extension of their social life, so this makes the impact of learning on the other students.
