Someone come and take her away please

A young woman who was drunk in a takeaway was fined £150 for causing a disturbance. It caught my eye in the paper because I had been in the shop in Nottingham at the time of the incident. I will give you some idea as to what happened and how the drama unfolded.

I had gone down to my local Nottingham takeaway to order what I thought would be a tasty meal before the match. I had invited some friends over to watch the game between England and Germany. There was a happy mood in the restaurant as most expected England would win the game. On hindsight this seems and overconfident thought process, that ultimately was doomed.

When I arrived at my favourite Indian takeaway Nottingham, a good quality restaurant in the centre, there was not much happening. The pubs no longer closed at 11pm like they used to do, so you didnt get quite the same rush of people. I set about ordering my favourite meal, a chicken tikka masala with all the extras like onion bhajees and fried rice. Just as I sat down to wait for my order, the door burst open and this woman came in alone. She seemed to be struggling with her movement and look like she would fall over. Then all of a sudden she started swearing loudly and shouting at the other guests. It was unbelievable what was going on before my eyes. I hadnt even given her much attention, but she was throwing the menus around the tables whilst removing items of her clothing. The guests were quite shocked and didn’t know where to look.

Gillian Feisty, aged 21, of Nottingham Drive, Nottingham, shouted abuse at staff and police during the incident in Lower Canal Street, Nottingham, on June 25th.

Miss Feisty was arrested by the police when she refused to leave claiming that she had ordered some food. She was fined £50 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
