If you are just now starting out thinking about learning to speak French, then you probably love the way the language sounds. This is all part of the learning process when you are talking about learning to speak another language. Well to be honest here, you learned how to speak English this way right? By repeating and absorbing it? Keep that in mind, and your goal to speaking French will be achieved in no time.

People are not built like computers, you cannot just upload information into our brains. In our lives, we learn from listening, talking and experiencing things. Whenever a person hears and speaks words in repetition, they eventually learn it. That is how the experts learned, so why can’t we take a page out of their books? Here’s a few tips for you to try out.

Actually try to listen carefully and not just casually. Listen for familiar words and when you hear a prompt to respond, try to respond.

Try to speak French as much as possible. Talk to anything that will listen, your dog, your annoying brother, a mirror. If you aren’t around the language and just learn but not practice, it is very easy to lose knowledge or focus.

Lastly, you should check out learn to speak French programs. There are so many different books and programs on the market today, but some just plain old suck. Boring books with outdated sayings and texts. Some of the words and dialects in these books are out of date and aren’t used any more.
