Theme Parties

Costume parties can be extremely fun. These parties can be held for company gatherings, family parties, block parties, and even holiday parties. There are so many options to choose from when it comes to themes and costumes. Each year our block parties are held with a new theme to base our costumes off of. This seems to be more fun than regular costume parties because everybody has a costume that fits in with the costumes of the other guests.

Last year we decided to have a medieval warrior themed costume party. People wore armors and carried swords and shields. I found this particular party the best to be the best i’ve ever attended. I dressed up in a Roman armor costume and carried a shield and javelin with me. I even purchased a nice pair of leather sandals to round off the costume.

There were Vikings, Spartans, Trojans, and even English noblemen and women attending the party with me. My friend Bill dressed up like one of the legendary immortals. He stood next to me for ten minutes before I recognized who he was. Stacy, his wife, dressed up like an ancient gladiator. Carrying a large battle axe and a wicked looking spiky helmet, she didn’t look like a peaceful school teacher at all.

The costumes really make going to a large party easier because it gives everybody something to talk about. Other large neighborhood parties tend to be boring because people don’t know each other and become too shy to interact.

Costumes have become so easy to buy that it doesn’t make sense for anybody to have a party that does not involve costumes. You can buy them at local stores, second hand stores, and even through Internet retailers.
