If you are looking to learn and master painting from a home study video course then you need to consider carefully what the course offers. Just because it’s burnt onto a DVD doesn’t mean its quality. Creating a set of DVD’s is actually really easy in today’s technology, so you will find a lot of amateur artists making their own DVD’s to try to make money.
Everything begins with learning just the basics. Some DVD programs that I have run into, while offering you good advice, treat you as if you know a little about painting at first. If you are a beginner, this will just confuse you and you might end up spending a small fortune with no success. This could actually frustrate you to the point of losing interest.
When you are trying to find a good program learn to paint with, then check the contents. The first thing to check is the author. Who is the author? You are going to need to be comfy with the teacher and confident that they have the ability to actually teach you.
Do your homework on the instructor. They don’t have to be world class artists, they probably won’t be. Top artists will probably not be teaching art. They should at least, offer good deal of their work online that you can check out. This will let you know if the artist’s style is to your liking.Look into their bio, their training history, and how long they have been painting. If you are happy with the teacher then you need to read up on the program itself.
Learning to paint in your home is easy as long as your teacher is open minded, friendly and comprehensive when they teach. You are paying your money for the course, why shouldn’t it work. One teacher that I recommend is Gayle Levee, author of Learn and Master Painting. Take a second and check out the Learn and Master Painting Review if you want, plus also check out Learn and Master Guitar Review from the same company.
