Visitng France Will Make You Feel More European
France is a popular tourist destination because it is a country that has a lot to offer. Every year over 80 million people visit France and this makes it one of the most popular travel destinations in the world. The fact that we now have the tunnel connecting the UK to the continent means that we are now lucky enough to be able to get from Folkestone to Calais in just over half an hour; once on the other side there are endless possibilities.
Even though France is a large country, you can drive to most parts within a day or two so this is fantastic especially if you don’t mind driving. So once there, you can decide where you want to go; maybe the beautiful Mediterranean beaches or the snowy French Alps. You could also choose to head to Paris for a city break if you prefer or head to Disneyland with the kids. You can ski in France during the winter and another type of holiday is one involving the vineyards which is great for wine lovers.
The Chunnel really has made it so easy to get to France; it is an amazing feat of engineering. You can actually drive along an English road and then under an hour later be driving along a French road. It is so easy to take your car with you to France with the tunnel which will allow you to get to many different parts of France with minimum fuss during the one holiday. With the continent that close it is hard not to feel more European; in fact people living in the south of England could head over to France and back in the same day for a drive. For us in the UK it has really become so much easier to head to anther country.
City breaks Europe style are becoming very fashionable. France hotels are among the best in Europe when thinking about this option. Many are pet friendly hotels to boot. City breaks are ideal for that special weekend away.
