You should have all heard them by now, even if you don’t know what they’re called, you must have heard them. But what if you could drown out that annoying buzzing sound that has been coming from your TV for the last 8 or 9 days? I’m sure you know the sound! It’s like watching the ‘Attack of the Killer Bees’ in glorious widerscreen with full surround sound. Frankly, the Vuvuzela may be an African tradition, but it irritating, loud and distracting.
So let’s find some antidotes in the form of some gadgets, because let’s face it, that buzzing will still be in your ears six months from now after 64 games of it.
If you’re looking for a practical, but unusual gift, then you don’t need to look any further than the iLogic Sound Hat available in shades of black, white, or pink for the ladies. What’s unique about this hats is that they can keep your ears and head warm in the winter, whilst plugging into your iPod and delivering superb sound quality.
If you’re not a hat fan, you could try the one of the ideal gifts for him (or her) wih the awesome Zaggbug noise cancelling headphones. Not just Vuvuzela proof, these buds are clever enough to detect an incoming call on your iPhone and with the inbuilt switch and microphone, allow you to answer the call without unplugging or messing around with the phone!
Lastly, if you’re after some more drastic measures, you could relieve the annoyance with a Flying Animal. Once you throw them they make a noise during the flight, until smacking against your chosen target; the pig ‘oinks’, the rooster crows and the monkey … yodels for some reason. There’s also a hidden upside to throwing these animals about your home. They should only be used by children over 12, so if your offspring are all 11 or under, tell them they can’t legally throw them back at you. They’ll believe anything at that age, bless ‘em. Even that England are going to win the football World Cup!
