  2. This product makes it very easy to learn spanish. Once you learn the format, you just do it. The voice recognition software is good. I recommend this very highly. I have also utilized the same series to learn Italian.

This is a great way to review spanish. i had taken spanish for 5 years (4 high school, 1 college), but then not spoken a word of it for almost 8 years. i decided it would be useful to remember how to speak it, but had gotten rid of all my old spanish books, and was looking for a good way to review what i had learned so long ago. this program was the perfect solution. it started slowly (which was great – not too overwhelming), and then quickly had me remembering a lot of vocab as well as how to conjugate verbs. most importantly it helped me to be able to listen and understand what people were saying – something i had always had trouble with. this is not for learning the language from scratch – if you haven’t had some amount of spanish teaching at some point, it probably won’t be very helpful. but if you are just looking to remember and review a language you were taught a long time ago, this is great. its only drawback is that it isn’t very good at explaining the minute differences in grammer usages (like which form of whatever is appropriate at what time), but i think a lot of that comes naturally the more you use the languange, and is probably hard to write out into rules.

Within an hour of using this program I was going to the amazon site to see if I could return it. This program is either way too easy ( say this letter, say this word etc.) or way too hard ( listen to someone talk in spanish for a few minutes and then answer questions about it) and doesn’t have a lot of material to cover. I took spanish for a couple of years in high school and was looking for something to increase my speaking skills and vocabulary. This isn’t it. Even if it was half the price it still wouldn’t be worth my money or my time.

This is perhaps the worst Spanish-language program I ever tried. Impossible to navigate, impossible to comprehend, no manual or instruction at all. Simply useless. This program is a waste of your money; try to avoid it.
