Nice article. Maybe all of us aren’t even aiming for the fully functioning adult level.
After all, I can’t discuss quantum physics in my native language but I manage to function just fine in it either way.
But even for news, how can you understand 100% of it through audio based immersion alone? After all terms like “Self-governing body” keep cropping up all the time.
PS: アカンis a Japanese word and is pronounced “akan” (‘a’ from ‘art’, ‘kan’ from the ‘Han’ dynasty).
Great article/newsletter! Ramses, would you consider a follow-up article? I would be very interested in how you transitioned from the input mode to the output mode. That is, when you started speaking Spanish. I heard you narrate a story (sorry, can’t find the link now) and your Spanish was amazing! Did you go 100% spoken Spanish sort of like the AJATT method, or was it in phases. Sorry for all the questions just interested in how you did it as I am sure following your method would help many of us that are having problems shifting from input to output.
Thanks!
